The Ka-25 is one of the delightfully quirky Soviet helicopter designs from the late 1960s. Unusually for a Soviet design, it had very little military application, being used primarily as a crop duster where the airflow from the co-axial rotor system created beneficial spray patterns. This beastie is on display at the aeronautical campus of the Deutsches Museum just outside Munich. I love the way this airframe exhibits all the wear and tear and changes of a lifetime of work.
